NR Spinning Mills is an export-quality yarn manufacturing company that was established as a private limited company on October 1, 2014. It operates under the RN Group Company Act and is engaged in the production of two types of yarn:
20/1 – 40/1 Carded (H) Yarn: This type of yarn is produced by carding the fibers in a carding machine or high-tension spinning machine. Carding is a process where the fibers are aligned and cleaned to form a continuous strand of yarn. The designation “20/1 – 40/1” refers to the count of the yarn, which represents the fineness or thickness of the yarn. Higher numbers indicate finer yarn.
20/1 – 40/1 Combed (H) Yarn: This type of yarn is produced by combing the fibers in a combing machine or a high-tension spinning machine. Combing is a more advanced process than carding and results in a finer and more uniform yarn. The designation “20/1 – 40/1” again refers to the count of the yarn.
The yarn produced by NR Spinning Mills is 100% export-oriented Yarn, which means it meets the standards required for export to international markets. The company focuses on manufacturing both carded and combed yarn to cater to different customer needs and market demands.
The planned capacity is 60,000 spindles.

N.R. Spinning Mills Limited is an export-oriented spinning project located in South Shilmandi, NarsingdiSadar. The company’s major activities revolve around yarn manufacturing. The project owns a total land area of 433.38 decimal.
The ownership of the project land lies with N.R. Spinning Mills Limited. The company produces two types of yarn: 20/1 – 40/1 Carded (H) Yarn and 20/1 – 40/1 Combed (H) Yarn. The daily production capacity for Carded yarn is 25,000 kg, and for Combed yarn, it is 17,000 kg. The factory operates for 350 working days annually, resulting in yearly capacities of 8,750,070 kg for Carded yarn and 5,950,140 kg for Combed yarn.
For utility arrangements, the factory will require a 4,600 KW connection from the Rural Electrification Board (REB) to run the operations. Additionally, a 1 MW diesel generator set will be available as a backup power source to handle emergencies.
In terms of compliance, N.R. Spinning Mills Limited holds several valid certificates and licenses, including Environmental Clearance from the Department of Environment (DOE) with validity since January 10, 2021, and Fire License and Trade License with validity since June 30, 2021. The project has received environmental clearance under the category of Orange-B, indicating adherence to specific environmental regulations.
The technology used by N.R. Spinning Limited is state-of-the-art, and the company employs machinery imported from renowned suppliers in Europe. The factory utilizes an ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system that provides 100% computerized process control and online visibility, enhancing efficiency and management of operations.
